As part of TRUST's participation in the SAPECS colloquium, Chrisna, Edna and Albert presented an interaction session with the audience, to engage with ideas related to the application of ecological resilience thinking to urban systems. Building on research already conducted, participants were asked to think about the ways in which themes of system regimes and states, thresholds, adaptive cycle and diversity manifest in the city. A number of the researchers at TRUST had the opportunity to attend the SAPECS colloquium at Kirstenbosch on 15 & 16 April 2013 wherein a number of speakers from a range of disciplines presented their research on facets of Social-Ecological systems.
