Earlier today, a group of twenty Australian Research and Architecture Master's students and their lecturers arrived in South Africa to take part in a Regenerative Design Travelling Studio along with five students from the University of Pretoria and their lecturers. While tired from their long trip, they were curious to explore the city, so following lunch we headed off into the CBD via the Gautrain where we were met by Prof. Roger Fisher, who led an historical walking tour through the CBD from the train station to Tudor Chambers on Church Square. There we were met by Bernard Hannekom from the City of Tshwane where he presented the new urban vision for the CBD titled, "Realising the Capital City of Excellence".
